128MB L3 Cache – 2nd Gen 3D V-Cache Technology

The 9900X3D leverages AMD’s revolutionary 3D V-Cache technology to stack an additional 64MB of L3 cache directly on top of the processor die, resulting in an enormous 128MB of total L3 cache. Combined with 12MB of L2 cache and 960KB of L1 cache, this massive cache subsystem dramatically reduces memory latency, delivering significantly higher frame rates and smoother gameplay in cache-sensitive titles. The processor package consists of 3 dies manufactured on TSMC 4nm FinFET (CPU cores) and TSMC 6nm FinFET (I/O die) process technologies.

The thermal solution is not included in the box — AMD recommends a liquid cooler for optimal thermal performance.
